Working mom guilt, how to cope with ambition as a parent

I’ve been both a working mom and stay at home mom, both are hard for different reasons. Both carry guilt and shame. I’ve found the best way for me to stay mentally well is to work towards my purpose, while balancing motherhood. Ditching working mom guilt can be a difficult task, but there are a few things you can do to help: 1. Reframe your thinking: Instead of viewing being a working mom as a negative thing, try to see it as a positive. Remind yourself that you are setting a good example for your children by showing them that it is possible to have a career and a family. Your kids will follow your behavior.
 2. Model self care and boundaries. Get your kids on board with your needs, while making sure they understand that you taking care of yourself benefits them.
 3. Communicate with your partner: Share the responsibilities of childcare and household duties with your partner. This will help to alleviate some of the stress and guilt you may be feeling.
 4. Find a support system: Connect with other working moms who understand what you are going through. This can be a great way to get support, advice, and encouragement.
 5. Remember that it's normal to feel guilty: Guilt is a normal feeling when trying to balance work and family life. Allow yourself to feel guilty sometimes and remind yourself that you are doing the best you can.
It's important to remember that every mother's situation is different, and there is no such thing as a "perfect" mother. You are doing the best you can, and that is all that matters.
